Mamamimi is a start-up company that specialise in ‘twinning sets’ matching outfits for mother and child. The budget was tight and I was initially only briefed to design a logo for them. Excited by the outcome of their new logo, Mamamimi asked me to create a range of printed assets to coincide with their product launch.

Minimalist and on trend

Obsessed with the beach, the client wanted a modern feel for their logo so we decided on a minimalist design with a muted, on trend colour scheme. To further emphasise the beach nature of the brand, the logo mark is shaped like a wave. The big and small waves represent a mother and child, reinforcing the brand's name. This also conveys feelings of togetherness, love and growth.

The client chose to use a colour palette that echoes the beach, orange and blue is used with white, appealing to both mother and child. The client didn’t want a ‘sports lux’ brand so the look feels more chic and pared back.

Creating a harmonious brand identity

Thanks to its clever design, the logo mark can make a cool decal or a delicate necklace charm, something that the client wanted to explore further down the line. The mark is also used to decorate sealing stickers, clothing tags and thank you cards. The consistent use of the mark throughout all aspects of the business' printed collateral creates a harmonious brand identity.
